Merging books and making it new

The two books: A Theft in a Small Town and A Treasure Hunt in a Small Town, were both good books but a little thin compared to the rest in the series. What did they have in common? They both started at a funeral, so I combined them into the novel - A Funeral in a Small Town, and then removed the originals from sales channels. Now you get a better, robust book which is in line with the rest of the series.
